ACTL partners started this project in 2015 with a project funded under the Innvoate UK Energy Catalyst programme 132333 TUPROOFS - Thermal under PV roofing SIP. This project explored the feasibility of combining a structure, full coverage of PV, PassivHaus levels of insulation and recovery of heat from unde the PV. The feasibility was successfully demonstrated.
In 2020 the Project was taken forward under the Sustainable Innovation Fund as 79528 TUPROOFS - The roof that pays for itself, and we have proved that the roof cassettes produced by the project work on both new build and for retrofit (indeed on a house in Milton Keynes). We are now completeing design for large scale manfacture. |
